[photoaday] Day 1: Your View Today

Please, allow me to apologize. It has been way too long since we've spoken.

I have no excuse other than my days have not been that exciting. I know, I know, it's an excuse. But it's true!

Since buying our car, Joey and I have not really been able to go out and do much, since we knew we had an impressive amount of money in the form of sales tax looming over our heads. And that is not the most pleasant thing to constantly be reminded of, say, when you're buying groceries.

To say it's been a bland month would be a gross understatement.

But! The sales tax debacle is behind us. Yay! Our money is now our money. Not the government's. But oh, don't you worry, they did take their share. *grumble grumble*

However, February is a new month, for new adventures. And I'm feeling upbeat about it. Possibly because it's the shortest month, although this year it's only by one day. Hello, leap year!

Leap years seriously trip me up. They confuse the ever-loving life out of me. How can one day be here one year, and not the next? I'm sure it's something science-y, but damn. It's just confusing. Leap years and daylight savings time can take a hike.

This month I am going to do the #photoaday challenge on Instagram.
Having an iPhone is seriously ahmayzing, but nothing more exciting than Instagram.

I really do love this app and use it everyday. Well, nearly. But this month... I AM going to use it at least once a day!

I found the above on Pinterest and thought, well why not?!

I am hoping it pushes me to do more stuff, since most of these things I'm looking at don't exist in my apartment (days 4 and 28 mostly.. teehee) and some things are kind of... boring? I'm looking at you, days 9, 12 and 24.

But with these boring challenges come opportunities.

Maybe the jumpstart to actually clean my closet?
Organize my bathroom?
Make my front door more appealing?

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

Day 1. Your View Today.

This is outside of my apartment building. This is my favorite time of day, as the sun is setting and the sky is so many colors. This view is way prettier in the summer when the trees are full, but I have to admit I love how they look in this picture.

Keep coming back every day this month to see my #photoaday grow!
